Bibiena Drawings from the Jules Fisher Collection at the Morgan Library and Museum
We had the wonderful opportunity to view the Bibiena theatrical drawings from Jules Fisher’s collection at the Morgan Library and Museum in New York City in July 2021. This was a great experience for a number of reasons. I was not overly familiar with the Bibiena designs and this is the first exhibit dedicated to them in the U.S. in 30 years. This exhibit is a good way to learn more about this family that influenced European scenic design and the design of theatres for over 100 years in the 18th and 19th centuries. 
This exhibit is well worth attending for its own content as well as for the opportunity to see the Morgan Library itself, once the home of J. Pierpont Morgan, and the first home in Manhattan to be equipped with electric lighting by Thomas Edison.
